I am really happy with how this photograph turned out! I snapped this out of the car window after breathing on the lens to fog it up. Taken on the Nikon D300 18-35mm

I really enjoy having 3 new photos to share with you each week!

I snapped this sunrise image on Ft Myers Beach while I was walking my dog I saw the clouds part and thought that looked like a monster cyclops! Taken on the Canon G10

Originally I was just taken this image as a simple texture shot but now that I looked closer I really like the layers that this image has. Snapped on the Canon G10!

On mother's day we went to Bells Brewery It was the first time I had been there and it is great! This image was taken inside of the pub.

Update: I wanted to share a little info about this image. I took this image on my wife's great grandpa's analog Yashica-mat twin lens camera with black and white color film. I them burned the print in order to get the edge effect that is seen in the image. That was not made in photoshop. The woman in the image is Dani DeWine my sister in law.

winter solstice lunar eclipse 2010

First time in 372 years, a total lunar eclipse falls on the winter solstice.

It is really cool that we have burrowing owls living in our front lawn.

The owls nest in an underground burrow, hence the name burrowing owl. If burrows are unavailable and the soil is not hard or rocky, the owls may excavate their own. Burrowing owls will also nest in shallow, underground, man-made structures that have easy access to the surface.

I had a great time talking to old friends and photographing my friend Ted and is wife Grace's wedding this past Saturday in Ohio. We had an amazing day with beautiful weather. It was hot but it made for some great images and a wonderful wedding. The ceremony took place at St. John's United Church of Christ and the reception was held Pipestone Golf Course. This past weekend I photographed Beth and Jim's wedding in Pittsburgh. I met the girls at Beth's grandmother's house on Mount Washington where I took the gorgeous portraits of her just using window light and a reflector. The ceremony took place at the beautiful St. Paul's Cathedral and the doors of the church provided a great background for me to use. The reception took place at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association where the final 3 shots were taken. To add to the dreamy look that I was going for, I blew on the lens to fog it up! ENJOY!

I am glad that Matt and Amy were able to make time for their E-Session on their busy day in Columbus. I can't wait to photograph their wedding and take the trolley around Columbus for fun photos of the bridal party.

On March 13th the crew met up for my birthday and to go to see The Queers at Bernie’s. It was an amazing show. Before the show we went out to eat at Skully’s and K Bobb came up to say hello to Mandie and me!

I recently bought the Canon G10 and it rocks! I am able to use a pocket wizard to set off my Profoto lights to take some killer shots. I also love the fact that you can take video. This album contains 36 instrumental tracks and is the first album from Nine Inch Nails following its announcement that the band had severed its ties with Interscope Records and intended to release future material independently.[1] Initially intended to be a five-track EP,[2] the final release is presented as four nine-track instrumental EPs. The tracks do not have names, and are identified only by their track listing, position, and album art. www.nin.com

3 Kanyne West : 808s & Heartbreak

The album was recorded in less than two weeks in Hawaii. As implied by its title, 808s & Heartbreak prominently features the Roland TR-808 drum machine. West felt that the 808 is an important instrument that can be used to evoke emotion; the concept was introduced to him by Jon Brion. According to West, the fact that Hawaii's area code was "808" was coincidental, as he had already developed the album's title before being informed. The realization inspired him to pursue his direction with the album, however. In terms of musical direction, West's intentions, according to Mike Dean, were to go against the typical sound of hip hop beat, instead evoking the presence of tribal drums. Overall, West maintained a "minimal but functional" approach towards the album's studio production.
